My Role

  1. Being the team lead and delegating tasks to each member including splitting the Front-End team from the Back-End team.

  2. Setting up the website to display all of the data such as classmate names, images and portfolio links from the Back-End using PHP and Mysql .

  3. Implenting the modal that displays all classmates info as well as having a part in making the entire website responsive.

  4. Working closely with the design and content team to ensure the website is close to the wireframes as possible.

We got some positive feedback from the website, with visitors enjoying how the student info was displayed along with design and the google maps API that was included for the location. On the downside not all of the features we planed could be implemented sadly because of time constraints.

What I've Learned

  1. That sometimes teams can be to large for a project, in this case it was hard to commuicate when the entire class was working on one project together.

  2. Time constraints can be harsh, with so many moving pieces to implement we weren’t able to get everything done in time. But we got the best possible version of the website out.

  3. Writing comments are important before you push commits on Git, as it can lead to alot of confusion as well as communicatng before makign a push these mistakes were made a lot.
